US Ambassador to India Sergio Gor and Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis met in Mumbai to discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation between the United States and India. The discussions focused on expanding collaboration across key sectors, including technology, energy, and healthcare.

Ambassador Gor highlighted Maharashtra’s potential as a major economic hub for American businesses. He specifically noted the state’s Memorandum of Understanding with the Cleveland Clinic to develop ‘MediCity’, an integrated health ecosystem in Mumbai.

Additionally, Ambassador Gor is scheduled to deliver a special address at the Indo-American Chamber of Commerce (IACC) National Convention 2026. The convention, themed ‘Redefining the India-US Comprehensive Strategic Partnership’, aims to focus on trade, investment, and building resilient supply chains through the combination of American technology and Indian scale and talent.
