Lalbaugcha Raja attracts massive crowds for Ganeshotsav celebrations

Millions of devotees are participating in the ten-day Ganeshotsav festival, with significant crowds gathering at the iconic Lalbaugcha Raja pandal in Mumbai. Established in 1934, the site is widely revered as a ‘Navasacha Ganapati’, or the one who fulfils all wishes.

High-profile figures have visited the pandal to seek blessings, including US Ambassador to India Sergio Gor, industrialist Gautam Singhania, and actors such as Manoj Joshi, Sayaji Shinde, and Shilpa Shetty. The Lalbaugcha Raja Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav Mandal also continues its tradition of social and educational welfare programs.

While Mumbai remains a central hub for the celebrations, the festival is observed across India with notable sites including Pune’s Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati and Hyderabad’s Khairatabad Ganesh. Even abroad, the cultural impact is felt; actress Bhumi Pednekkar shared her experience of finding a temple in New York to observe the festivities while away from home.
