Cope West 2026 tactical airlift air sovereignty force down exercise military cooperation

The United States Air Force 374th Airlift Wing and the Indonesian Air Force (TNI-AU) have concluded the Cope West 2026 (CW26) exercise in Manado, Indonesia. This marks the 13th iteration of the tactical airlift cooperation exercise, which was first established in 1989.

Conducted from September 7 to 11, 2026, the training focused on joint tactical air operations and the exchange of expertise in several critical areas, including base security, operational maintenance, flight health, and aerial medical evacuation. During the exercise, U.S. medical personnel demonstrated specialized procedures, such as configuring medical litters within C-130J Super Hercules aircraft, to enhance interoperability between the two air forces.
