Senior military commanders from the United States, Israel, and eight Arab nations held a secret, unannounced meeting in Germany last week. Admiral Cooper informed participants that the United States does not intend to withdraw its military forces from the Middle East despite Iranian attacks on U.S. bases. He also presented plans to expand and secure maritime traffic through the Strait of Hormuz.
Israeli Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir provided briefings on Israeli military operations across various fronts. The meeting served as a rare opportunity for military leaders from Israel and several Gulf states—some of which lack formal diplomatic ties with Israel—to exchange views.
