US and South Korea coordinate on $350 billion investment projects

South Korean Foreign Minister Cho Hyun and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio met in Washington, DC, to discuss bilateral investment projects. The discussions are part of implementing a trade deal in which Seoul committed to investing $350 billion in the United States.

While an announcement regarding South Korea's first investment project was expected recently, it has been postponed until next week following a delay in a briefing to the National Assembly. Both officials expressed a commitment to ensuring consultations regarding these strategic projects yield successful results.

The diplomats also reaffirmed their commitment to the bilateral alliance and agreed to continue working toward the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula and regional stability through diplomacy.
