U.S. and U.K. air forces hold joint JTAC training at Moody Base

U.S. Air Force personnel and Royal Air Force Joint Terminal Attack Controllers (JTACs) trained side‑by‑side at Moody Air Force Base in Georgia. The bilateral exercise emphasized close‑air‑support coordination, standardized communications and realistic targeting scenarios, allowing both senior and newly qualified controllers to gain experience directing aircraft.

The training, part of a recurring program that began in 2015 and occurs twice a year, aims to maintain qualifications and improve interoperability between the two nations. Participants highlighted the value of shared tactics and face‑to‑face debriefs, with Warrant Officer Class 2 Chris Fletcher and Maj. Nivruth Maramreddy noting that the exercises strengthen the long‑standing U.S.–U.K. partnership and build a common operational language for future joint operations.
