U.S. Army family demands release of probe into deadly Kuwait drone strike

The family of U.S. Army Reserve Capt. Cody Khork is demanding that the Army release an internal investigation regarding a deadly Iranian drone strike in Kuwait. The attack occurred on March 1, 2026, at a tactical operations center in the Port of Shuaiba, killing Khork and five other American service members.

Khork, a member of the Iowa-based 103rd Sustainment Command, was serving as a deputy force protection officer. His family expressed frustration over a perceived lack of military accountability, suggesting that shortcomings in protection may have contributed to the fatalities. While the Army confirmed that the probe into the Iranian Shahed drone strike was completed in early July, the findings have not yet been made public.
