US Army soldier appeals to Trump over daughter's visa denial

A Nigerian-born member of the United States Army, identified as Uzamaka, has issued a public appeal to President Donald Trump regarding a visa denial for her 10-year-old daughter. In a video shared on TikTok, Uzamaka stated that she has been separated from her child for approximately 10 years and is seeking a humanitarian exception to current visa restrictions.

Uzamaka reported that her daughter is critically ill in Nigeria and requires urgent medical attention that is difficult to access locally. While the soldier noted that she understands the importance of national security and immigration laws, she requested a compassionate review of the case so her daughter can access healthcare in the United States.

The soldier indicated she has previously sought assistance from her commander and US Senator Amy Klobuchar. According to Uzamaka, while the senator attempted to intervene, she was informed that the immigration process was proceeding according to standard procedures.
