US authorities arrest teacher and sentence man in separate grooming cases

In Kentucky, authorities have made the first arrest under the state’s newly enacted anti-grooming law. Sadie Flores, a 25-year-old teacher at Graves County Middle School, was charged with a Class D felony for allegedly engaging in an improper relationship with a minor student. The arrest followed an investigation by the Graves County Sheriff’s Office after allegations were reported to the school district.

In a separate case, a Minnesota man, Trent Fair, was sentenced to 21 years and 8 months in prison for grooming and abusing minors across state lines. Fair admitted to using social media to target a 15-year-old girl and traveling from Minnesota to Virginia to exploit her. Investigators also found that Fair had produced child pornography involving dozens of victims, some as young as 10 years old.
