US Auto Surveys Show Mercedes-Benz Dealer Sentiment Rise and Owner Satisfaction Gains
The National Automobile Dealers Association’s Dealer Attitude Survey for winter 2026 placed Mercedes‑Benz back in the top ten of U.S. dealers, ranking ninth. The improvement follows CEO Adam Chamberlain’s outreach to more than 100 retailers in his first 100 days, emphasizing clearer communication and stronger franchise support. Lexus retained the No. 1 spot, with Toyota, BMW and Honda completing the top four.
Separately, JD Power’s 2026 U.S. Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout (APEAL) study reported overall new‑vehicle owner satisfaction at 858 points, the highest gain since 2018. Satisfaction rose 7 points, driven chiefly by interior improvements such as better storage and ergonomics. The study noted that while overall quality has improved, owners also value design, comfort and user‑friendly technology.
Both surveys indicate a broader trend of increasing optimism among dealers and owners in the U.S. automotive market.
