US Bitcoin ETF sees $445 million net outflow as investors shift to altcoin funds
On June 26, US spot Bitcoin exchange‑traded funds recorded a net outflow of $444.5 million, entirely from BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT). Over the preceding three days, Bitcoin ETFs shed roughly $1.5 billion, with IBIT responsible for about 73 % of the weekly withdrawal.
At the same time, several altcoin ETFs attracted fresh capital. The Solana ETF logged a $2 million inflow, the HyperLiquid ETF $1.8 million, and the XRP ETF $15.6 million. An industry analyst noted that “institutional funds are shifting from Bitcoin to alt‑coin ETFs rather than leaving the digital‑asset market entirely,” interpreting the Bitcoin outflows as profit‑taking or portfolio rebalancing while the altcoin inflows signal continued interest in diversified crypto exposure.
