US Conducts Second Night of Airstrikes on Iran

U.S. Central Command announced a second consecutive night of airstrikes against Iranian military targets, saying the attacks aim to further reduce Iran’s ability to threaten navigation in the Strait of Hormuz. The strikes hit roughly 90 sites, including air‑defence systems, coastal radars, missile‑launch points and more than 60 Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) small boats. President Donald Trump had earlier declared the tentative cease‑fire with Iran ended, prompting the renewed U.S. operation.

Iran’s state media reported explosions in several port cities and said the IRGC launched missiles at U.S. bases in Bahrain and Kuwait, claiming hits on a military facility near Bushehr nuclear plant. Kuwait and Bahrain reported that they intercepted Iranian attacks on their air‑defence systems. The United States refuted claims of additional attacks, while diplomatic channels involving Qatar, Pakistan and other regional actors worked to de‑escalate the tension and resume technical talks on the nuclear agreement.
