US, China, and Russia face potential UFO technology arms race

Lawmakers and former intelligence officials have raised concerns that the United States, China, and Russia may be engaged in a secretive arms race centered on unidentified flying objects (UFOs). There are fears that the U.S. could fall behind geopolitical rivals in the effort to understand and potentially harness technology derived from mysterious aerial phenomena.

Representative Eric Burlison (R-MO) warned that a lack of transparency regarding UFO information could provide a propaganda advantage to China and Russia. Additionally, former U.S. intelligence official David Grusch has alleged that China and Russia may possess crashed UFOs, suggesting they could be attempting to reverse-engineer technology of unknown origin. China has previously acknowledged investigating unexplained aerial sightings using artificial intelligence.
