U.S. cities prepare for Halloween 2026 festivities
As Halloween 2026 falls on Saturday, October 31, various cities across the United States are preparing for seasonal festivities. In several major metropolitan areas, including Oklahoma City, San Antonio, Charlotte, and Nashville, there is no single, universal citywide schedule for neighborhood trick-or-treating. Instead, families are encouraged to check with local homeowners associations, community organizations, or specific event organizers for localized hours.
Organized community events are being scheduled throughout October. For example, Nashville features a family-friendly event at Belle Meade on October 25, while San Antonio offers a trick-or-treat experience at The DoSeum on Halloween night. In Oklahoma City, the Haunt the Hill event in Historic Capitol Hill is scheduled for October 31, and the OKC Zoo is hosting its annual Haunt the Zoo.
In the Metro Detroit area, various fall festivals and kid-friendly activities are available, including pumpkin patches, hayrides, and themed weekends at locations such as Blake's Farms and Domino's Farm.
