US Città di Fasano appeals Serie D exclusion to FIGC Court of Appeal
US Città di Fasano is continuing its legal battle to secure admission to the Serie D championship following its exclusion by the Lega Nazionale Dilettanti. The club's exclusion stemmed from registration verification issues, specifically regarding a registration fee transfer that was not credited to the LND accounts by the required deadline.
After the National Federal Tribunal (TFN) rejected the club's initial appeal and confirmed the non-admission, Fasano filed a formal complaint with the FIGC Federal Court of Appeal. The club is seeking either immediate admission with reservation or an urgent precautionary measure to suspend the matches of Serie D Group H until a final ruling is reached.
The Federal Court of Appeal has scheduled a hearing for October 8. The outcome of this hearing is critical for the club's roster; if the appeal is rejected again, the FIGC may proceed with the immediate release of over-age players, allowing them to sign with other clubs.
