US CLARITY Act Could Unlock $56 Trillion for XRP and Other Crypto Assets

The Digital Asset Market Clarity Act, a bipartisan bill in the United States Congress, would create a clear federal regulatory framework distinguishing digital assets that are securities from those that are commodities. By providing this certainty, the legislation could allow U.S. pension funds, which manage roughly $56 trillion, to invest in cryptocurrencies such as XRP, potentially drawing institutional capital into the market.

Senate leaders face a narrow window to schedule a vote before the 2026 midterm election cycle and an August congressional recess. Advocacy group Stand With Crypto warned, “There’s a limited window to get this done, with few remaining days left in the current Congress before the midterm elections,” urging lawmakers to act quickly or risk losing months of bipartisan work on the bill. Republicans are pushing to move the measure forward before the recess, highlighting consumer protection and industry certainty as key benefits.
