US college football teams begin 2026 preseason camps
Montana State University’s football program held its sixth practice of 2026 preseason camp, marking the first full‑pad session for the Bobcats. Head coach Brent Vigen praised the competitive effort, and senior running back Jared White highlighted the importance of tackling drills, saying, “We’ve got to bring the juice.”
Brigham Young University also kicked off its 2026 fall camp with a first practice that featured players in jerseys and helmets, preparing to add full pads in the second week. Head coach Kalani Sitake said the team is “way further ahead than we were last year,” and highlighted contributions from running back LJ Martin and linebacker Isaiah Glasker. BYU’s schedule includes a September 5 game against Utah Tech at LaVell Edwards Stadium.
Both programs are gearing up for the 2026 season, with Montana State set to open against Utah Tech on August 29 and BYU facing the same opponent in early September.
