Chainlink integrates U.S. economic data into 10 blockchains
Chainlink has launched six official U.S. economic data feeds across 10 public blockchain networks, including Ethereum, Arbitrum, Avalanche, and Base. The initiative utilizes the oracle infrastructure of Chainlink to distribute macroeconomic statistics produced by the Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) under the U.S. Department of Commerce.
The data feeds cover three primary economic indicators: Real Gross Domestic Product (GDP), the Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE) Price Index, and Real Final Sales to Private Domestic Purchasers. For each indicator, the system provides two distinct feeds: one reporting the current level and another reporting the annualized quarter-over-quarter change.
This integration allows decentralized applications, financial products, and risk systems to access standardized government figures automatically according to the BEA’s publication schedule. By providing direct onchain access to these metrics, the program eliminates the need for developers to manually input economic data into their systems.
