US company innovations drive Rp 434 trillion economic value in Indonesia

Innovations from 43 United States companies in Indonesia between January 2020 and January 2026 have generated an economic value of Rp 434 trillion (approximately USD 24.8 billion). This data was released in the 2026 Business Report for US-ASEAN (BISA) in Jakarta.

The report identified 91 total innovations by US firms, with 28 specific initiatives driving the reported economic value. Approximately 41 percent of these innovations focus on human resource development, providing digital training to over 10.7 million people, including 4 million women.

Other key areas include digital and energy innovation. About 22 percent of the initiatives promote energy resilience, resource conservation, efficiency, and waste reduction. The energy, mining, oil and gas, and food and beverage sectors accounted for roughly 58 percent of the recorded innovations.
