US Congress Delegation Meets Pakistan Army Chief to Discuss Regional Security and Mediation Efforts

A delegation of United States congressmen, including Ryan Zinke and Michael Baumgartner, visited Pakistan and met Field Marshal Asim Munir at the army headquarters in Rawalpindi. The talks covered regional security, bilateral defense cooperation and ways to enhance economic collaboration.

The congressmen praised Pakistan’s role in mediating the recent war between the United States and Iran and its participation in the Board of Peace, a Trump‑initiated body aimed at Gaza reconstruction. Both sides expressed optimism about deepening ties, noting the warming relationship under President Donald Trump and Pakistan’s broader diplomatic engagement in the region.
