U.S. Congressional candidates report third-quarter fundraising totals

Federal campaign finance records reveal significant fundraising disparities across several U.S. congressional districts for the third quarter. In Oregon, Democratic incumbents in former swing districts outperformed their Republican challengers. U.S. Rep. Janelle Bynum (5th District) raised nearly $630,000 more than Republican Patti Adair, while U.S. Rep. Val Hoyle (4th District) outpaced Monique DeSpain by $150,000. U.S. Rep. Andrea Salinas (6th District) raised $277,000, exceeding Republican David Russ's $250,000.

In the Mahoning Valley, Republican incumbents hold substantial financial advantages. U.S. Rep. Dave Joyce (14th District) reported a campaign fund surplus of $2,327,622 as of September 30, despite spending over $1 million in the third quarter. His Democratic opponent, Maria Jukic, reported $25,140.84 in her fund. Similarly, U.S. Rep. Michael Rulli (6th District) reported $461,477.12, significantly higher than Democratic challenger Elizabeth Kirtley’s $4,823.14.
