US Congressman requests sanctions against four Serbian businessmen

US Congressman Joe Wilson has submitted a request to Secretary of State Marco Rubio to impose sanctions on four Serbian businessmen: Ivan Bošnjak, Stojan Vujko, Davor Macura, and Željko Mitrović. The request seeks to prohibit their travel to the United States and restrict their access to the US financial system.

Wilson identified the individuals as associates of Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, alleging they use public resources for personal enrichment, work to undermine US interests in the region, and were involved in manipulating elections.

In response to the allegations, Millennium Team and Alta Banka denied the claims, calling them untrue. Millennium Team, owned by Bošnjak and Vujko, has seen significant business growth and is involved in major state projects, including EXPO 2027 and the National Stadium.
