US Consumer Product Safety Commission expands baby lounger recall

The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced an expansion of a recall for Cpzzkq baby loungers sold on Amazon by CetoPMax, increasing the total recalled units to 2,195. The recall covers the same defect as the earlier notice – padding that can obstruct an infant’s breathing, violating federal standards for infant support cushions.

In a separate action, the CPSC also recalled BBWOO baby loungers sold through Amazon by LSY Direct after finding that low side walls and wide foot openings create fall and entrapment hazards, also breaching mandatory infant sleep product standards. Parents are instructed to stop using the products, destroy the foam and cover, and contact the manufacturers for refunds.

Both recalls highlight a recurring pattern of safety violations in padded infant products, prompting continued consumer alerts and enforcement by the CPSC.
