U.S. Defense delegation visits Morocco to strengthen military ties

A United States Department of Defense delegation, led by Brigadier General Tad Clark, visited Rabat to reaffirm the strategic military alliance between the U.S. and Morocco. General Clark, who oversees international military ties and global arms sales, held discussions with Lieutenant General Mohammed Berrid, Inspector General of the Royal Armed Forces, and Major General Mohammed Gadih, Inspector of the Royal Air Forces.

The talks focused on current and future projects intended to modernize Moroccan aviation and strengthen bilateral cooperation. This visit aligns with an established defense cooperation roadmap designed to guide defensive industries, cybersecurity, and long-term training initiatives through 2036. The partnership is further supported by the annual African Lion exercise, a major joint training event involving personnel from dozens of countries.
