US Department of War releases new batch of declassified UFO files

The U.S. Department of War has published a third set of declassified documents on Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP). The 72 records, spanning from the 1940s to the present, were released to fulfill a directive from former President Donald Trump ordering the disclosure of government UFO information. The files, hosted on a new government portal, were supplied by agencies including the CIA, FBI and NASA and contain civilian testimonies, video recordings and sketches of sightings worldwide.

Among the most striking entries is a June‑2025 report from the FBI describing two bright red spheres, each about a metre in diameter, hovering and moving in parallel over a backyard in the northeastern United States. The FBI calls the eyewitness accounts “credible,” but notes that no military installations or known technology explain the phenomena. Earlier reports in the collection document “triangle orbs,” “red orb rotation,” and other aerial lights observed between 2021 and 2024. The portal cautions that the incidents are “cases without resolution,” and the government cannot issue a definitive judgment on the nature of the observed phenomena.

The release adds to ongoing public and scientific interest in UAPs, while acknowledging that the government lacks a conclusive explanation for the recorded events.
