US DHS updates ‘Worst of the Worst’ deportation database

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has updated its ‘Worst of the Worst’ deportation database, a portal launched by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) as part of a mass deportation initiative. The register identifies foreign nationals arrested by ICE for various criminal offenses.

A review of the database shows that many entries for Ghanaian nationals involve financial crimes rather than violent offenses. Of the 32 Ghanaians listed, only three face violent crime charges, including murder, sexual assault, and assault. The remaining entries primarily involve fraud, identity theft, money laundering, and forgery. Notable among these is socialite Mona Faiz Montrage, listed following a federal conviction related to a romance scam.

Additionally, the DHS has added 10 Nigerians to the register. The charges for these individuals range from wire fraud and identity theft to drug offenses and cruelty toward a child. This update follows a previous July listing that included 124 Nigerians.
