Polish Zloty Strengthens as Dollar Falls, Euro Slightly Up on July 31 2026

On 31 July 2026 the Polish zloty ended the week stronger against the US dollar, with the USD/PLN rate falling to 3.7425 zł from 3.7644 zł the day before – a decline of 0.0219 zł (2.19 gr). The euro edged higher to 4.3128 zł, up 0.0031 zł (0.31 gr) from 4.3097 zł. The Swiss franc rose to 4.6429 zł, an increase of 0.0309 zł (3.09 gr), while the British pound climbed to 5.0380 zł, up 0.0112 zł (1.12 gr).

Analysts noted that the zloty’s modest weakening after a strong Thursday move was linked to lower expectations of a September rate hike by the Fed and to domestic inflation data showing July CPI at 3.0 % year‑on‑year. The overall picture was a firming zloty versus the dollar and modest gains for the euro, franc and pound against the zloty.
