U.S. Embassy in Dominican Republic facilitates voting for residents

The United States Embassy in the Dominican Republic has issued a call to U.S. citizens residing in the country to exercise their right to vote and return their ballots as soon as they are received.

Citizens can submit the Federal Postcard Application (FPCA) or completed ballots at the embassy or the nearest U.S. consular agency for shipment to the United States. Correspondence must be addressed to the local election authorities of the voter's jurisdiction and include sufficient U.S. postage or a prepaid envelope. Instructions and options for electronic submission, such as fax, email, or internet, vary by state and can be verified via the Federal Voting Assistance Program (FVAP) website.

For those using local mail services, international postage is required. If local mail is deemed unreliable or time is limited, the embassy recommends using private courier services like FedEx, DHL, or UPS at the sender's expense. Note that FedEx does not deliver to P.O. boxes.
