U.S. Embassy launches healthy lifestyle campaign in Dominican Republic

The United States Embassy in the Dominican Republic has launched the “Train, Eat and Repeat” initiative, a campaign designed to promote healthy habits by combining physical activity with the consumption of American beef and pork products.

Developed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture Foreign Agricultural Service (USDA/FAS) in collaboration with the U.S. Meat Export Federation (USMEF) and Orangetheory Fitness, the program held a launch event in Arroyo Hondo, Santo Domingo. The event featured nutritional workshops led by professional nutritionist Andrea Rivera, physical training sessions, and culinary demonstrations of various U.S. meat cuts.

U.S. Ambassador Leah F. Campos stated that the initiative aims to link the promotion of American agricultural products with the goal of fostering healthier lifestyles. The campaign aligns with the “Make America Healthy Again” initiative promoted by the U.S. government. The program includes a month-long fitness challenge throughout November, accompanied by specialized nutrition guidance.
