U.S. equities poised for mixed start ahead of key earnings reports

Wall Street opened with modest gains for several chip makers as AI‑related concerns eased. Micron, AMD, Intel and Broadcom each rose around 2%, while storage firms Sandisk, Western Digital and Seagate also posted gains. Apple slipped 2.1% after briefly overtaking Nvidia in market‑cap rankings.

BlackRock announced a planned debt issuance of at least $12 billion to fund a new data‑center project in Texas for Meta’s AI operations. LXP Industrial Trust agreed to a $5.2 billion cash acquisition by Brookfield and CPPIB, and Boeing confirmed orders for 100 737 MAX aircraft from SMBC Aviation Capital and a commitment from Philippine Airlines for up to 20 787 Dreamliners. AMC Entertainment surged 28% after reporting earnings above expectations.

Investors are awaiting earnings from Domino’s Pizza, which is expected to post a $4.18 EPS on $1.18 billion revenue, Steel Dynamics with a projected $3.64 EPS on $5.57 billion sales, and other companies such as Ames National and W.R. Berkley later in the day.
