U.S. expands electric‑vehicle charging sites in Utah and the Southeast

Salt Lake City’s Glendale Regional Park received two new Level‑2 electric‑vehicle chargers installed by nonprofit Leaders for Clean Air in partnership with Grid Elevated. The chargers are part of the park’s Sustainable Sites Initiative (SITES) certification and aim to make EV ownership more convenient while supporting the city’s air‑quality goals.

ChargePoint announced an exclusive agreement with Optimus Energy Solutions to deploy more than 200 public EV charging ports across the southeastern United States. The rollout will focus on high‑traffic locations such as quick‑service restaurants and retail centers, using ChargePoint’s telematics platform and Optimus’s site‑owner expertise to increase both DC fast‑charging and Level‑2 availability in the region.
