U.S. farm exports rise to $14.5 billion in July

U.S. agricultural exports reached $14.5 billion in July 2026, representing a 9% increase compared to July 2025. According to USDA trade data, global agricultural exports for the first seven months of the year totaled $106.3 billion, a 7% rise that places the current year on track to be the strongest since 2022.

Key markets showed significant growth. Exports to Mexico, the largest foreign market for U.S. farm goods, rose 10% in July to $2.8 billion. Exports to Canada increased by 5% in July, while exports to China saw a substantial rebound, rising 71% year-over-year in July to $636.7 million.

Exports to the European Union reached a monthly record of $1.3 billion in July, an 19% increase from the previous year. Year-to-date exports to the EU have reached $10.1 billion, currently outpacing China in total annual volume. Specific commodity trends include a 32% year-to-date increase in soybean exports and a 21% increase in corn sales for the month of July.
