US Federal Judges Block Trump Administration Policies in Texas and West Coast

Chief Judge James E. Boasberg in the Northern District of Texas rejected a request by the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH) for a temporary restraining order, allowing the Federal Trade Commission’s deceptive‑practice lawsuit against the nonprofit to proceed.

U.S. District Judge William H. Orrick in California granted a preliminary injunction that bars three federal departments from enforcing a set of anti‑DEI and immigration‑related grant conditions on 11 cities and counties in California and Oregon. The order halts the Trump administration’s effort to attach ideological requirements to federal funding for public‑safety, emergency and victim‑assistance programs.
