U.S. Federal Reserve meeting fuels crypto market optimism

The global cryptocurrency market rose about 0.7% to a total value of roughly $2.2 trillion, driven by renewed investor interest and regulatory developments. The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and Commodity Futures Trading Commission clarified that 16 major tokens are not securities, while the White House confirmed plans for an official Bitcoin reserve, boosting sentiment.

Investors are also watching the Federal Reserve’s July 28‑29 policy meeting, chaired by Kevin Warsh. The Fed’s stance on inflation and interest rates, along with comments on geopolitical tensions and AI spending, are expected to shape short‑term crypto price movements. Legislative progress on the CLARITY Act, which would separate regulatory duties for digital assets, has added to market optimism.

Bitcoin traded near $64,100, with a breach above $65,000 seen as a potential trigger for a move toward $66,000, while support may lie around $62,500. Ethereum hovered near $1,880, and other major coins such as XRP and Solana remained in narrow ranges amid mixed sentiment.
