US fentanyl raids result in arrests in Nebraska and conviction in Minnesota

North Platte police in Nebraska executed a search warrant on July 20, 2026, uncovering methamphetamine, fentanyl pills, cash, a firearm and paraphernalia. The raid led to the arrest of 77‑year‑old John W. Doerschlag on multiple drug and weapons charges, as well as Jamie Donnelly and Lucas Partain, each charged with possession of fentanyl or methamphetamine.

In Minnesota, a federal jury on July 24, 2026 convicted Michaela Karon McKinney of conspiracy to distribute fentanyl, aiding and abetting possession with intent to distribute fentanyl, and possessing a firearm in furtherance of drug trafficking. Prosecutors said McKinney helped move more than 180 g of powdered fentanyl, nearly 500 fentanyl pills, and about 30 g of methamphetamine, using her vehicle to transport the drugs and driving a co‑defendant to a Walmart parking lot in Little Falls for an undercover sale. She faces a minimum ten‑year prison term.
