Alleged Terror Plot Targets UFC Event at the White House

Federal authorities announced that an Ohio man, Theisen Proper, allegedly plotted to attack the UFC Freedom 250 event scheduled at the White House. Prosecutors say Proper amassed an arsenal that included a shotgun, an AR‑15 rifle, roughly 1,000 rounds of ammunition, ballistic plates and medical trauma kits, and coordinated with a network that planned to use suicide drones and a sniper team to target attendees and political figures.

Six suspects, including alleged ringleader Abraham Hermosillo Alvarez, have been arrested in connection with the scheme. Former FBI Special Agent Nicole Parker highlighted the plot during a speech at the event, noting the role of the suspect’s parents in alerting law enforcement.

The incident has amplified concerns about left‑wing extremist rhetoric spilling into violence and prompted legislative action on drone security, with Rep. Pat Harrigan introducing a bill to phase out Chinese‑made drones from U.S. law‑enforcement use.
