US Forecast Calls for Humid Air, Heavy Rain and Thunderstorms Across New England and Indiana

A humid air mass is moving across the Northeastern U.S., raising dew points into the mid‑60s to near 70°F. The forecast calls for patchy low clouds, fog and scattered showers, with the greatest rain totals expected in western New England, New York, northern New Jersey and northeast Pennsylvania. Localized street flooding is possible where downpours exceed three inches.

In the Midwest, fog and low clouds will linger around Indianapolis on Sunday morning before temperatures climb to the low‑90s. The warm, unstable air will support scattered thunderstorms overnight and on Monday, with a risk of damaging wind gusts and heavy rain that could produce localized flooding. A cold front is expected Tuesday, moving most showers east of Indianapolis and bringing drier, cooler conditions.
