Pentagon releases seventh tranche of declassified UAP files

The United States Department of War has released the seventh collection of declassified documents regarding Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP) under the PURSUE program. The release includes 28 files containing military intelligence reports, federal witness statements, and historical research spanning seven decades.

A primary highlight is a June 2026 report from federal agents who observed a matte-black, non-reflective triangular object near a national security site in the western U.S. The object reportedly performed a vertical ascent, hovered for approximately 20 seconds, and then accelerated to speeds estimated between 1,800 and 2,900 km/h without producing sound or visible exhaust. The craft was described as having a wingspan of roughly 9 to 15 feet and a seamless exterior lacking windows, cockpits, or propulsion apertures.

Historical accounts included in the files detail sightings near Santa Catalina Island, California, dating from 1947 to 1955. These include reports from Boy Scouts of a silver object moving faster than jet aircraft and a resident's account of multiple isolated objects in the sky. Other documents cover a 1957 B-52 bomber radar contact over Saudi Arabia and a 2010 investigation by Bigelow Aerospace Advanced Space Studies (BAASS) into sightings of unusual creatures and lights at a Utah ranch. Additionally, the files revisit the 1947 Roswell incident through a 2002 affidavit from former official Walter Haut, describing metallic debris and non-human entities.
