US government monitors anti-Flock surveillance social media

Government surveillance centers are reportedly monitoring social media accounts on TikTok and Instagram that oppose the installation of Flock surveillance cameras. According to intelligence bulletins obtained via public records requests, authorities have warned local police about upcoming ‘DeFlock’ events and instructed officers to ‘increase patrols around ALPR [automatic license plate readers]’ in response to growing backlash. The documents also highlight concerns regarding devices that could be used to locate Flock camera installations.

Separately, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman discussed the future of artificial intelligence, suggesting that AI models may soon monitor nearly every aspect of a user's life to provide better context. Altman noted that a descendant of ChatGPT could potentially watch computer screens, attend meetings, and record calls to act as a constant digital assistant, providing real-time suggestions and assistance based on a user's complete daily activity.
