U.S. Government moves seized Alameda Research Bitcoin

The U.S. government has moved a small amount of Bitcoin, approximately 0.0048 BTC, that was seized from Alameda Research accounts on Binance US roughly three years ago. The transaction was flagged by blockchain analytics firm Arkham Intelligence.

While the movement of funds has been noted, Arkham did not identify the transaction as a sale or liquidation, nor was the destination of the Bitcoin specified. No federal agency has confirmed if the transfer is intended for creditor repayments, a strategic Bitcoin reserve, or another forfeiture process.

This movement follows several other recent transfers of assets linked to the collapse of FTX and Alameda Research. Earlier this year, government-linked wallets moved hundreds of millions of dollars in Bitcoin, Ether, and various altcoins to Coinbase Prime. The total amount of FTX- and Alameda-related assets seized by the U.S. government as part of broader forfeiture actions is estimated to exceed $700 million.
