Pentagon releases fourth batch of declassified UAP files, including 2015 Pantex nuclear plant sighting
The U.S. Department of Defense has posted the fourth tranche of declassified Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP) records, fulfilling President Donald Trump’s directive for greater transparency. The release contains 40 files – 14 documents, 19 videos, four audio recordings and three images – contributed by the Pentagon, the Department of Energy, NASA, the CIA, the FBI and other agencies. Materials span from a 1949 Los Alamos conference on “green fireballs” to recent infrared video captured in 2025 over the Yellow Sea and the East China Sea under the Indo‑Pacific Command’s jurisdiction.
Notable incidents include a 2015 diamond‑shaped object observed at the Pantex nuclear weapons assembly plant in Texas, a 2019 high‑speed object recorded over the eastern United States that a veteran pilot described as unlike anything in his 28‑year career, a 2020 dark, jellyfish‑like object over the Atlantic, and an eight‑pointed star‑like object captured in 2025 near China. Pentagon spokesperson Sean Parnell said the batch is part of the Presidential Unsealing and Reporting System for UAP Encounters (PURSUE) and that additional material will be released in future rounds. The agency emphasizes that the files do not constitute proof of extraterrestrial technology; they are intended to assess any potential flight‑safety or national‑security risks.
