United States releases third batch of UFO files, adding 72 new documents

The U.S. government disclosed a third tranche of previously classified material on unidentified aerial phenomena, releasing 72 documents that include videos, witness testimonies and illustrations. The files describe sightings such as red‑glowing spheres, objects that change shape and brightness, and a metallic “potato‑like” object observed over Colorado. Officials stress that none of the material provides definitive proof of extraterrestrial life and many cases remain classified as unresolved.

In a related instance, the FBI confirmed the reliability of a witness who reported a plasma‑like sphere hovering over a lake in the northeastern United States for about 45 minutes. A video of the event was authenticated and is part of the newly created PURSUE reporting system, which was mandated by a directive from former President Donald Trump to make UFO records public. The released documents also note occasional interference with electronic equipment and GPS signals during some encounters. The Pentagon reiterated that the incidents lack sufficient evidence to determine their origin.
