US Grosseto faces asset seizure over unpaid VAT

Authorities in Grosseto have seized assets from the sports club US Grosseto following an investigation into unpaid VAT. The seizure, totaling 324,618.70 euros, includes cash, movable property, and real estate.

The investigation was initiated by the Agenzia delle Entrate and carried out by the economic-financial police unit of the Guardia di Finanza. Investigators determined that the sports company failed to pay the VAT due for the 2023 tax year, as indicated by its own tax filings.

The preventive seizure was ordered by Judge Marco Mezzaluna at the request of prosecutor Carmine Nuzzo. The legal representative of the company is also under investigation for the omission of VAT payments.
