US House passes resolution on Iran conflict as Houthi-US maritime pact emerges

The United States House of Representatives has passed its third resolution calling for an end to the conflict involving Iran. The measure passed with 220 votes in favor and 204 against, moving the resolution to the Senate.

In a separate strategic development, reports indicate a confidential agreement has been reached between the United States and the Houthi rebels. Under this arrangement, the Houthis have reportedly agreed to ensure the free transit of commercial vessels through the Red Sea. In exchange, the United States has committed to not providing direct military, aerial, or logistical assistance to the Saudi-led coalition in its campaign against the rebels.

Amidst these developments, Saudi Arabian defense forces announced they successfully intercepted and destroyed a Houthi drone launched toward the holy city of Mecca. While Saudi officials described the drone strike as a deliberate provocation against a sacred site, Houthi representatives denied targeting the city, labeling the claims as falsehoods.
