U.S. lawmakers propose sanctions against companies boycotting Judea and Samaria

A delegation of 20 U.S. state lawmakers has pledged to pursue legislation aimed at penalizing companies and organizations that boycott residents of Judea and Samaria. The initiative follows threats from Ireland and Spain to impose sanctions on Israelis from the region.

Led by Jason Rapert, president of the National Association of Christian Lawmakers (NACL), the group included representatives from states such as Alaska, Georgia, Arkansas, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Montana, Minnesota, Alabama, and Missouri. The lawmakers visited the region as guests of Yossi Dagan, head of the Samaria Regional Council.

The proposed measures would allow states to implement countermeasures or sanctions against businesses that refuse to maintain commercial relationships with residents of Judea and Samaria based solely on their location. Some states, such as Tennessee, have already moved toward recognizing the term ‘Judea and Samaria’ in official documents, while others like Alabama and Florida have pursued related legislative efforts.
