US libraries promote summer reading and levy support for community services

The Decatur County‑Gilbert H. Gragg Library in Georgia announced that its summer reading program will conclude on July 31. Patrons can still log reading minutes in Beanstack, and the library highlighted the top circulating titles for children and adults, ranging from "Minecraft" to John Grisham's "The Widow." The library also offers Bingo twice each month as a community activity.

Separately, the Friends of the Langley Library in Washington urged voters to approve Proposition 1, a levy that would restore funding at $0.47 per $1,000 of assessed value. The measure is intended to sustain programs, technology, facilities, and staff for the Sno‑Isle Library system, with a vote deadline of August 4.
