US lithium supply chain gains momentum as LibertyStream secures offtake and Libra Energy pursues investors

LibertyStream Infrastructure Partners (TSX‑V:LIB) has signed a term sheet for a long‑term off‑take agreement that will deliver 600 tonnes of domestically produced lithium carbonate per year from its first commercial facility at Select Water Solutions’ site in Texas, starting in 2027. The deal marks a step toward a fully US‑based lithium supply chain, with the company projecting that a 1,000‑tonne‑per‑year plant could operate at roughly US$6,200 per tonne and generate positive cash flow. LibertyStream says its demand pipeline exceeds 10,000 tonnes annually through 2029.

Libra Energy Materials Inc. announced its participation in the third annual Bermuda Capital Event (June 12‑14, 2026). The event brings together about 53 small‑cap mining and technology companies and more than 60 investors for one‑on‑one meetings. Libra, a Canadian explorer of critical minerals, will use the forum to discuss its Ontario lithium projects, additional Ontario and Quebec assets, and a portfolio of about thirty projects in Brazil, aiming to secure longer‑term capital relationships.
