Anthropic files for Nasdaq IPO with projected $2 trillion valuation FAST-MOVING
AI developer Anthropic has officially filed an S-1 registration statement with the SEC, signaling its intention to list on the Nasdaq under the ticker symbol “ANT”. The filing reveals a period of massive growth alongside significant financial losses. In the first half of 2026, Anthropic reported revenue of $16.3 billion, a substantial increase from $1.2 billion during the same period the previous year. However, the company also reported a net loss of $80.7 billion for the first half of 2026, compared to a $13 billion loss in the prior year. A significant portion of this loss, approximately $72.4 billion, is attributed to an accounting increase in the value of convertible notes rather than cash outflow.
Market analysts and investment reports suggest the company could reach a valuation between $1.5 trillion and $2 trillion during its market debut. The IPO, which may begin investor roadshows in November, is expected to be one of the largest in history, potentially rivaling or exceeding the SpaceX IPO. Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley are serving as lead underwriters.
Anthropic’s enterprise customer base has expanded significantly, with over 11,900 customers spending more than $100,000 annually as of late September. The company also disclosed heavy investments in infrastructure, spending approximately $9 billion on compute and AI infrastructure in the first half of 2026.
