US military casualties rise to 794 wounded in Iran conflict

The number of United States service members wounded in the conflict with Iran has risen to 794, according to the War Department casualty database. The latest update includes dozens of new injuries following a recent escalation of fighting in the Middle East.

Since July 7, 377 personnel have been wounded, including 346 soldiers, 21 sailors, and 10 airmen. The Pentagon has implemented a new accounting method that distinguishes between casualties from the initial phase, labeled “Operation Epic Fury,” and those from the more recent phase, categorized under “overseas operations.”

The recent increase in casualties follows several Iranian attacks targeting American facilities in Iraq, Bahrain, and Kuwait. While the total number of wounded has reached 794, the database does not provide specific details regarding the dates, locations, or circumstances of the individual injuries.
