US military operation in East Pacific kills drug trafficker, two missing

The U.S. Army, under the command of SOUTHCOM and General Francis L. Donovan, launched an attack on a boat identified as carrying illicit drugs in a known trafficking route in the East Pacific. The strike resulted in the death of one male suspect described as a "narko‑terörist" and left two other male suspects missing at sea. The U.S. Coast Guard was notified and a search‑and‑rescue effort began for the missing individuals. No U.S. military personnel were injured. The operation is part of ongoing anti‑drug missions in the region, which officials said would continue.
